The Strategic Current corrects material factual errors when they are identified and verified. Readers may submit correction requests to [email protected] and should identify the article or briefing, the specific statement at issue, and any supporting evidence.
How we handle changes
Correction: a material factual statement was wrong. The content is corrected and, when the change could materially affect reader understanding, a visible correction note describes the substance of the change.
Clarification: the original wording was materially unclear or incomplete even though it was not necessarily false.
Update: new information became available after publication.
Editor’s Note: significant context about sourcing, process, dispute, or publication history is necessary for readers to evaluate the work.
Retraction: the work is fundamentally unreliable and should no longer stand as originally published.
We do not use silent substantive edits to conceal material mistakes. Routine typographical, formatting, broken-link, or style changes that do not alter meaning may be made without a formal note.
