Accuracy and sourcing
The Strategic Current aims to publish accurate, well-sourced work. Material factual claims should be supported by reliable evidence. Primary sources are preferred where practical for consequential subjects, and secondary sources should be represented accurately and in context.
Facts, analysis, opinion, and uncertainty
We distinguish established facts from analysis, inference, estimates, and opinion. When uncertainty, conflicting evidence, or competing explanations materially affect a conclusion, those limitations should be visible to the reader.
Attribution and quotations
Quoted, adapted, or externally sourced material should be attributed appropriately. Quotations should reflect the source accurately. The Strategic Current does not knowingly fabricate quotations, sources, evidence, testimonials, or documentary material.
Serious allegations and responses
When publishing serious factual allegations concerning an identifiable person or organization, we seek appropriate verification and, when reasonably practical, an opportunity for the subject to respond. The absence of a response does not convert an allegation into an established fact.
Conflicts and independence
Editors and contributors should disclose material financial, employment, personal, family, sponsorship, affiliate, or other relationships that could reasonably affect a reader’s assessment of their independence. Editorial conclusions are not for sale.
Editorial labels
Where useful, content is identified by function, such as Reporting, Analysis, Explainer, Commentary/Opinion, Review, Sponsored Content, or Institutional Notice. A label does not reduce our obligation to verify factual assertions.
Corrections
Material errors are corrected in accordance with our Corrections Policy. Minor spelling, formatting, or style changes that do not alter meaning may be corrected without a formal notice.
